The Food Chain
Adam was contemplating the plight of farm animals one day. He
told me that pigs are meat for us. I agreed. Cows are also on the menu. Again,
I agreed with this. He then decided that although we are not farm animals that
we are indeed meat. I didn’t quite know where we were heading but I was
enthralled and along for the ride. He explained that if dinosaurs still roamed
the earth that they would see us as meat and would most likely like to eat us
as we eat pork and beef but that they would probably not cook us because they are, after all, animals. I had to give him credit for thinking along the logical
lines of the food chain and seeing where we fit now and where we would fit if
dinosaurs still lived and were hungry.
